This is a super simple classic guacamole recipe that will make you wonder why you ever bought store-bought guac. It is so easy to make, tastes super fresh, and you can adjust the flavors and heat level to your liking!
To make guacamole, you’re gonna need these guac basics:
- lime juice
I personally usually just make a classic guac with those ingredients above. But if you wanna get fancy, you can also add in some other fun ingredients like:
- diced tomato
- roasted corn
- diced onion
- garlic powder
super simple classic guacamole
- 2 avocados
- 1 jalapeno, deseeded and diced, (use more or less to taste. I use 1 whole jalapeño for medium heat.)
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 T flaky sea salt, or Kosher salt
- 1 handful fresh cilantro, chopped
Peel and pit the avocados. Place them in a large bowl with the jalapeño, lime juice, and salt. Mash with a potato masher, or a fork. Stir in the cilantro.
Dip a tortilla chip to taste for seasoning. Add more salt or lime juice if needed.
