During this pandemic, something that I taught myself is that I don’t need to go to a coffee shop, or buy an expensive coffee machine to have some tasty coffee. This slow cooker cinnamon almond latte is a great fancy coffee recipe that you can make, even if you don’t have a fancy coffee machine! Not visiting coffee shops on the regular during the pandemic really tested my ability to make my own coffee with my 10 year old Keurig that just refuses to break down, (I have committed to not buying a new coffee maker / espresso machine until this thing finally dies.) Also, I’ve been working from home for the better part of each week, and just spending a lot of time at home in general has had me making so much more coffee than I used to.
I make this cinnamon almond latte with almond milk. Really, any other milk will do- oat milk, whole milk, skim milk… but just know that you aren’t going to get the almond flavor if you don’t use the almond milk.
slow cooker cinnamon almond latte
- 1 c espresso
- 3 c unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 c turbinado or granulated sugar
- 2 large cinnamon sticks
- 1 T vanilla extract
- whipped cream
- ground cinnamon
Place all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on high for 2 hours.
Ladle into mugs. Top with whipped cream and ground cinnamon, if using.
